What is smoked food?
Smoking is a method of cooking meat and other foods with fire. Hot smoking is the process where meat is slowly cooked and smoked at the same time. Wood chips are added to the fire to give a smoky flavor to the food. In a smoker, the air temperature is increased and carefully controlled to raise the meat temperature to produce a fully-cooked food product. Smoking adds flavor to the meat, fish, and poultry.

The Smokin’ Bull BBQ Smokehouse in Alexandria Ontario is a family owned business that opened on December 6th, 2017. Owned and operated by Heidi & Adamo Licursi and their 4 children. The art of smoking meats is a passion that began many years ago. Using wood fire smoke and the Texas Style BBQ method, the menu created at the restaurant is the result of much time, practice and home cooked favorites that have been tried, tested and loved by their children, friends and family for years. With very positive results, and feedback, they decided to take the leap of faith and bring these wholesome dishes to Alexandria for everyone’s enjoyment and pleasure!
